HOLD THE PHONE!!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas & has enjoyed spending time with family!!! :) I have!! Being home for break has been so much fun! We have been busy busy busy with Christmas festivities and PLAYING IN THE SNOW!!! Oh yeah, and playing board games! Each night Cinnie Minnie, MAW, and I play games.

This was our nightly game we would play!! MAW, Cinnie Minnie and I could probably play this game with our eyes shut now.  Cinnie Minnie needs to be watched while playing this game because she will get confused on what she is suppose to be doing!!!

When MAW and I got home for break Will.I.am. had an elf on the shelf.  His name is Buddy and I guess Will.I.Am thought we needed to be watched!

This is Buddy & he would keep a watch on us and fly back to the North Pole & tell Santa how we have been!!

We have also been busy going to Bill Ellis' BBQ.  It is the Warren's and the Godwin's family tradition to go eat there and then go to Meadow Lights! :)

Us Sisters with Bill Ellis!!!

Us taking a break from eating to snap a picture!! :) BTW this is Betty Boop in the picture with me :)

Cinnie Minnie and I at Bill Ellis'

NEXT STOP: MEADOW LIGHTS!!!!
Meadow Lights is a few miles down the road from our house and it has a Old Country store which is filled with candy.  It also has a train we could ride and it took us on a ride throughout the Christmas lights that were set up.  It also features a drive through about a mile long filled with Christmas lights!!

Bro and Sisters in the Candy store :) YUMM

Us with Will.I.Am in the candy store begging him for some money :)

Since the kids were riding the train the parentals hung out and waited on us. It was a little chilly!!!
We do this tradition every year and always have so much fun! :)

Us Sisters riding the train at Meadow Lights!!!

We have also had multiple family Christmases :)

Cousins at the McLamb Christmas :)

Since we have been home the pets have been extra crazy and extra lazy!!! There is just something about the fireplace that the pets like and makes them sleepy.

All of the pets on the couch!! Roadey is already out.

Moxie laying beside her daddy :)

While the cats are snoozing together...Alex is on his pillow asleep...He has NOTHING to do with the cats!

This is Moxie...she loves drinking water out of the faucet
Moxie snuggled up with Santa..probably trying to earn some brownie points so she can get some kitten treats!

Aren't our pets just so precious????? They are spoiled and cute!! :)

Roadey did get in a fight and got hurt :( but I am taking good care of him :)
He loves to lay in my lap and for me to rub him :) So sweet :)

Did I mention it snowed????? We got 11 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SNOW!!! BRRRR

As soon as the first snow flake landed we were all trying to figure out how soon everybody else was going to get to the cabin.  We love to go sledding at the cabin because it has big hills that we can sled on.

This is some of the crew that was there first, all ready to sled, make snow angels, build a snowman, and snow ball fight!!

Hope everyone had a GREAT Christmas and if you got snow I hope you have enjoyed playing in it!!! My family has :) If anyone has any pictures they would like to post and share with us we would love to see them!!! :)

Love,
KLW

You know you have been around students when.....

We have so much to catch everyone up on!!!! We have been so busy, as everyone is this time of year, that we are just getting around to blogging.  Christmas is coming soon and I cannot wait until Christmas break!! :) I cannot wait to not have to set an alarm clock and not have to do homework!! I will miss my students though.
I was with my students on Wednesday and they are so funny!!! Of course they are constantly excited that it is December.  Even though Christmas is a few weeks away....it is just something about the month of December that they are all excited about!!! Being with my students is so much fun because we cover everything from Math and counting money to boyfriends and girlfriends, and who likes who.  HAHAHA! It is very entertaining to get caught up with the drama of their lives!!
So, the title of this blog is you know you have been around students when....well...I know I have been around students when I am going to sleep at night and all I can hear in my head is "Miss Warren, Miss Warren, Miss Warren....." That is what happened to me Wednesday night.  I was trying to go to sleep and I could hear my name when I was trying to go to sleep.  The students rely on me and they always have to tell me something or need my help...so they call out my name!!! hahaha!!
Also, this one little boy I was working with in a different grade I asked him did he have a good day that day and he said "no" and I said well why didn't you have a good day?  Then he replied and said "cause we didn't get to go outside and play" I had to hold everything in so that I would not laugh when he told me this!!! He said the whole class was talking so they didn't get to have recess that day!  HAHAHA!!!! How funny is that!!!!! So cute!!! I wish that is the only thing that made me have a bad day!!....The life of a kid is so easy!! HAHA :)
Well, I hope everyone is having a great busy December and getting their shopping done!!! Hope Santa is good to everyone!! Remember the real reason for the season :) & keep him in your hearts!!

What kind of day did you have?? A Roller coaster type day!!!!!

Today was quite eventful, funny and sad!!! I was at the elementary school today working with the autistic child and he was so sweet.  I had to work with students on different things so I was not with him the whole entire time, but he was sure to keep his eye on me and kept making sure I did not sneak out.  The day started out great!!! A girl that we team teach  with was teaching her lesson. Her lesson was about police.  She was reading a book and it went through the alphabet and described stuff that was related to police.  Well, she got to the letter J and it stood for jail.  One of the students busted out and let us know that was where his daddy lived and they are mean to you there.  I do not think I have ever felt my eyes get any bigger or my mouth drop open so quick as it did when he let us know that information.  I was shocked!!! Clearly, it does not phase him at home or does not think about it.  After I could re-group myself everything was fine.  Until......
We were working in our centers and I wasn't able to be with the autistic child the whole time so he was working alone.  He was doing a great job, just perfect little angel sitting over there doing his work.  Well, it was time to switch centers and he did not want to.  As soon as I saw him become unhappy I had to brace myself for what was about to happen.  This child is very set in his ways.  When he does not want to do something he will not do it.  No matter how much you talk to him and try to reason with him or ANYTHING.  I quietly got up from my station and went to him and asked him was he ready to move.  He instantly said no and turned his back to me.  Well, other students were coming to that center because that was their next center to go to. So, the teacher and I were cleaning up his place and telling him to just sit there and be quiet.  Well, he didn't want his stuff cleaned up and nothing of his bothered.  So, we walked away and was going to let him calm down.  Seconds later I turned around and he is screaming and kicking and hitting.  I thought, "HOW DID I SEE THIS COMING?"  the teacher had to restrain the child and take him out of the classroom.  It broke my heart because I hate seeing that and I hate seeing kids have to go through that, but I know they cannot help it.  So, he was out of the classroom for a bit and then by the time he came back in we were on the carpet reading and he slid right beside me sucking his thumb and held my hand and leaned on me.  All was right in his little world.  He is such a sweet boy.  He told me he was sorry and didn;t mean to do that and that he just doesn't like school sometimes and I said well that's okay because neither do I but that's a secret :) He thought that was funny.

Diesel Fuel and a Funeral

Today my Grandma Jackie, Granddaddy Thomas, Cinni-Mini, & Will.i.am traveled to Denton, NC to attend my great-great aunt's funeral.  Aunt Jewel lived a long and wonderful life and is now is in heaven with Uncle Quinnie.  Aunt Jewel was a wonderful artist and I will never forget her pink bathroom!

I did not attend the funeral because I had to teach my wonderful Sunday school class, but Cinni-Mini caught me up on the gossip!  As some of you may know the cost of a funeral is extremely high, so Aunt Jewel wrote in her will that she wanted to be creamated.  My mom and Granddaddy had the following conversation about creamation....

Cinni-Mini:  Aunt Jewel probably wanted to be creamated because it is so much cheaper...
Granddaddy Thomas: The price of diesel fuel is pretty high these days..
Cinni-Mini: what does that have to do with anything?
Granddaddy Thomas: They had to use something to get her to fit in that little box.....how do you even know that's her in that box?

Needless to say Granddaddy Thomas does not want to be creamated!

Tomorrow is my last day at home and I have enjoyed seeing some of the family!  And just in case y'all missed the game on Saturday...ECU beat NCSU!!! Arrggghhh

"Durn"

For those of you who know KLW, you know that she gets stuck on a sayin' and says it soo much that it rubs off on everyone around her!  One summer she spent so much time with Grandma Jackie that she hasn't stopped saying "Shaw" to this day!  However, her most well know sayin' is "durn"....and it has rubbed off on me to the point where my friends laugh whenever I say it.  However, I have a better story about KLW'a influnce on others around her.......lets rewind about 3 years!

We had just gotten the keys to our hotel room!  We have gone to Myrtle Beach every summer since I can remember and we usually stayed at the same place, but this year the parentals sprung for a hotel room at this awesome new hotel!  Like with anything new KLW and I were excited to see what our hotel room would look like!  As soon as we walked in the door KLW kept saying...."Durn there are three bedrooms!" "Durn, there is a tv in every room!" "Durn, they have running water! (just kidding).....but everything she said started with "durn".....Well Will.i.am had had enough!

Will.i.am: KLW don't let me hear you say durn one more time!! (In his big scary voice)
KLW: *rolls eyes*
Cinni-Mini: (from the bedroom) DURN, there is a dvd player in here!!
Will.i.am: There you go saying it!!!!

Cinni-Mini, KLW, & MAW: *hysterical laughing*

My poor daddy is out numbered!

As those of you who know KLW...she has a captivating and infectious personality and "durn" is here to stay!

When going to the book fair with 1st graders be prepared to look and touch everything!!!!

Today I had to go back to my practicum and I was so excited to get back because I had missed working with my autistic child.  It was so funny because right when I was getting their the class was in the hallway lined up going to the book fair.  The child I work with spotted me within seconds.  He was reaching and calling for me.  I told him to let me go and put my stuff down real quick and that I would catch up with him. The first event to happen today was the class had to stop by the bathrooms on the way to the book fair.  Well, the other girls in my group and I were talking in the hallway and started laughing and I hear this voice telling us " Don't y'all know you're not suppose to laugh in the hallway." I turned around and all I saw was a little boy grinning at me. He will keep us straight if nothing else!
So, today was BOOK FAIR day for my little 1st graders!!! They were so excited to get to the book fair, they could hardly wait! First of all we had to sit down and listen to the librarian tell us where everything was.  She told us where the books were, bookmarks, and posters were.  Well, the librarian made the comment that there were still some Justin Bieber posters left.  One little girl says "YES!!" and made us laugh.  She was so excited about that poster of Justin Bieber.  After we got through listening to where everything was, the fun began!!! I stuck with my friend because I knew if I did not go with him I would hear my name being called any second.  I literally think we picked up everything in the book fair.  We had to look at the books and the pictures and the posters and the bookmarks.  Also, the best part about the book fair is the STUFF at the register.  All of that little stuff was touched as well.  Finally, we settled for a book on legos and an eraser that looked like 50 dollars.  When we were waiting for the others to finish shopping he asked me was I going to work with him today and I said yes and asked him if that was okay.  He said it was okay and that he loved me and grabbed my arm and put it around him.  I told you he is very sweet! So, after the "FUN" time at the book fair we were FREE again and left!!
Back in the classroom was a little difficult today but we got through it the best we could.  We did stations and the first station went fine but the next station just did not go well.  This was a station where the children's reading is assessed.  The teacher was talking to the group of students about apples and then they read a book. Well, they were doing circle maps and the child I work with just was not doing the assignment and was writing whatever came to his mind on the paper.  I could tell the teacher was getting very frustrated with him and I told him to stop for a minute and regroup.  So, we stopped and we took a breather for a few seconds and then started again.  After our regroup session he started writing words that were correct and then later just started scribbling on this paper.  The teacher took this paper and pencil and put it behind her and this child DID NOT like that.  The fun began!!!! I could tell he was very frustrated and he would not listen or do anything I would tell him.  It was almost like he was in high speed because he took all of his books out of his book box and was going through them very fast and then every movement he did was in high speed.  I did not try to stop him or calm him down because he needed to get that out of his system.  After about a minute we were calm again and ready to read! The other students read their page and then it was his turn to show off his reading skills.  He did an amazing job at reading and pronounced all of the words correctly.  I was so proud of him!! :)
I noticed today that when he was reading it required him to concentrate and usually when autistic children are concentrating they may tap their foot or the table or playing with their hair, etc.  Well, today he was playing with the eraser he had bought at the book fair.  He also started to rock back and forth in his chair while he read, that was okay with me, as long as that is what he had to do to concentrate.  After stations were over we went down to the carpet to learn about firefighters.  The child started out sitting beside me and then gradually ended up in my lap. He is one sneaky little boy.  The lesson I learned today is when I have a autistic child in my class, I will have things for them to hold or allow them to bring things in that comfort them while they do their work.  There are a lot of things I think could be changed in that classroom that would work better for him.  But who am I to tell the teacher of the classroom how to do things?? After we were done with everything it was time for us to leave and for the class to go to lunch.  The kids were in line and waved bye.  It was an eventful day but I learned a lot of things today and had such a great time!

Take it from a kid....they know best!

We are so sorry we have not blogged in forever!!! We are back in school and are in full speed!! It's okay, because we are blogging now! :) Even though it was rainy and yucky outside I have to say that my day was pretty eventful.  I am taking this class that requires us to do a practicum in an elementary school for so many hours....blah blah blah blah...you get the point.  So, today was the big day, first day at this new school in this new classroom full of exciting children who would be ready to learn..........YEAH RIGHT!! That was wishful thinking.
My teacher had told us to dress professional and all that good stuff.  So, this morning I wake up to notice that it was STILL raining, and my rain boots were back at home, where my parents live, and I really needed them to get through all of the puddles.  I decided to go with something simple.  I slipped on a dress and some dress shoes and grabbed my stuff and was out the door.  I wore my hair curly because it would have been the biggest waste of my time if I had straightened my hair today.  I have to admit I was looking good :) haha! My first class went by fine, minus walking in the rain, and it was on to the practicum at the elementary school.  The group that I am teaching in found out when we got to the school that we would have 3 exceptional children in our classroom. There would be 2 autistic children and one that has behavioral issues.  I didn't think anything about it and just kept going on with checking in and getting my name tag and so on.  We got a tour of the school and then it was time for us to go and meet our teacher and the students we would be working with until Christmas.

We walked in and were looking around, seeing what kind of decorations were on the wall, observing the students.  Of course the students were checking us out trying to figure out who we were and what we were doing in their classroom.  The students were in centers and I just picked a center and sat down.....little did I know my life was about to get crazy!!! I was sitting there filling out a sheet that was due in my class and I felt a child's hand in my hair, twisting my hair with their fingers.  Of course I turned around to see who was playing in my hair and it was a little boy just grinning at me.  He came and sat beside me and would lay his head on my arm and would be so sweet. As soon as I made eye contact with him he asked me my name, so I told him, later I asked him what his name was.  He told me his name and he stuck his hand out and said nice to meet you.  How cute right?? Little did I know that that little boy would be at my side until I left that classroom.  We clicked right when we met each other.  He kept me entertained and on my toes the whole class.  At one center the students were instructed to cut out the letters and glue the letters on a paper that made words.  The boy decided he needed my assistance and came over and askd me to come help him.  We sat down and worked on his work and we had such a great time.  He finished quickly and then I told him to flip his work over and draw a picture and for him to wait until the others got finished working.  Of course he had to tell me the story of his drawing!!! All through out the time I was there I was working with him and he would be working on his work and I would try and slip away but 2 seconds later I would hear my name and knew I was to get back to him immediately.  We would switch centers and I knew I better go with him or he was going to come and find me.

This boy was one of the severe autistic children but he was so amazing.  He was so smart and would listen to me.  He may not agree or want to do what I asked him to do but we worked it out and got things done.  Working with that child opened my eyes because he instantly clicked with me and I don't know what it was but it clicked.  He learned how I did things while I was learning how he did things.  He kept me laughing the whole class and was always up to something.  Finally, it was time for me to leave and the students were lined up going to lunch.  I was saying bye to the class and the little boy that was by my side the whole time didn't understand why I had to leave.  I had to explain to him that I had to go back to my school, but I would be back next week.  Well, he said okay, and that he just knew I was going to come back.  He thanked me for helping him and gave me a hug.  I told him bye and I would see him next week and turned around.  Seconds later I hear my name being called and turned around to find that it was the same boy grinning at me while calling my name.  I said yes?  He said next time if it is raining don't forget your rain boots!!! I had to hold everything that wanted to laugh in because he was so serious.  Here I had wanted my rain boots this morning but decided to be stylish and weary matching shoes and I didn't have them here and that little boy told me not to forget them the next time it rained! That was so cute and funny!! What an eventful day right??? & that was only at noon!!!!

Hope you enjoy :)

PURPLE.....GOLD

When I graduated from ECU I was sure that I wasn't going to miss college life!  I was ready for a change...however since I have been a graduate for over a year I have never felt more like a Pirate!  Everyone always said...not always a student, but always a Pirate.

Today ECU is playing Memphis and my family is at the game, but I decided to be studious and stay home!  However, as I am studying my mind keeps drifting off to the smell of popcorn and peanuts....Purple Reign playing in the background and the announcer guy saying "TOUCHDOWN PIRATES"  I miss watching the band at halftime and looking around Dowdy-Ficklen stadium and seeing a sea of purple and gold!!  I miss seeing friends and laughing at the drunk people trying to climb the stairs...there was always "that person".

I have two ECU football stories that are my favorite.  One is when I was able to get a football signed by all the team players for my daddy.  The day I got it ECU played NCSU and had lost....but I was so excited to give my daddy that football that I didn't care!

The other one was when ECU beat WV and we rushed the field.  Me being the rule follower and KLW being the rule breaker made for an interesting time.  KLW was first to get to the wall to jump and she jumped right off...well when I got to the wall and saw how far I had to jump I was like "I'll just meet y'all at the car".....but after two big strangers lowered me down by my arms I finally could reach the ledge and jump the rest of the way!  Then KLW and I went running onto the field....well after she tripped and fell in the bushes and I had to jerk her threw so she wouldn't be arrested! (the things I do for that girl)  We were jumping and screaming and sweating it was the best experience EVER!  My mom said when they were watching the student section flood the field she looked over at my dad and said "I wonder where your two are?"  and my daddy replied "I hope their on the field".

I'll leave y'all with a video that always gets us excited about gameday.....

GO PIRATES!!

L.Y.L.A.S.

Sorry for not blogging to much recently...but I am sure with everyone back in school that y'all can understand that our lives have gotten alot busier than what they were when we were still in the country!!  However, I had a visitor yesterday and it provided me with some "bloggin' material".

My role model, the person who slapped me when we were younger, the person who was President of the J, M, & K club, the person commonly referred to as "Ha-ca" (pronounced Ha ca), the person who lead us to believe there was "beaver" people in the woods beside our grandma's house, the person who left me on the bus, the person who I wanted to be, my cousin, Jessica came to visit!!!  Since she missed my birthday she promised to come to THE Boro and take my to dinner!

We had a great time! I was so happy to see because I haven't seen her since Mother's Day...she doesn't visit us much in the country...just ask my Granddaddy Thomas he'll let you know about what he thinks about how often Jessica visits!  So we were conversing over dinner and Jessica admitted that she had not read our blog....well I immediately informed her of what we did to Will.i.am when we found out he hadn't read our blog.  This was her response......"Please don't put that story about when I slapped you on your blog, I'm busy so how about you just catch me up."  Oh I'll catch her up all right!  Well since Jessica asked nicely for me not to put the story about her slapping me when we were younger I'll tell y'all another story......my mom's favorite!

So I am younger than Jessica..by four years!  So when I was in kindergarten I had to sit with Jessica on the bus so she would watch out for me.  Jessica sat in the back of bus...which is where all the cool older kids sit so Jessica was more worried about catching up on the latest 5th grade gossip than talking to me.  However, this particular afternoon I must have been really bothering her (which was unusual) because here is our convo..

ME:  *Poke*
JESSICA:  MEREDITH, there is a brick wall between us so you cannot talk to me!!  (*Whips back around to her "cool" 5th grade friends*)
ME: *Stands up and acts like I'm talking over the imaginary wall* Jessica
JESSICA:  I JUST PUT A ROOF ON THE WALL STOP TALKING TO ME

Such a sweet cousin!  So then today when I got into my car I realized Jessica had left her cute sunglasses in my car!  I was like SWEET!!  And since Jessica doesn't read our blog she will not know where her sunglasses are so that means I can wear them and pretend like I got some super cute new shades!!

Coming home TOMORROW!

Welcome to the Hollerin' Capitol

KLW and I are home for the first weekend since we have moved back to college.....and it's been anything but boring!  However, it is wasn't obvious enough that we were back home today at 12:00pm dove season started....and when we were getting ready for our pool party we looked across the backyard and our neighbors were sitting in their backyard with a shotgun!!  Kathryn and I don't see to many people sitting in their yard with shotguns in the Big cities we live in....and if we do see that we usually cry, run, and then pass out from fear!!

Today KLW and I threw a back to school pool party for our 4th and 5th grade Sunday school class.  It was so much fun, however what these kids have to say about life is HILARIOUS!  We had hotdogs and chips at the party and here is a little conversation.

TOPIC:  How much do you weigh?
DESCRIPTION:  The kids were comparing who weighed the most.  KLW and I gladly stayed quiet on this topic.

KB:  How much do you weigh ZW?
ZW:  I WEIGH ENOUGH TO SIT IN THE FRONT SEAT....90lbs!!!

It was soo cute how ZW was so proud that he weighed enough to sit in the front seat!  KLW and I are in for an exciting year with this bunch! Pray for us!!

It's my PARTY and I'll SLEEP if I want to!!

I know everyone is excited about my BIRTHDAY tomorrow (except for my dad who is more concerned about what purple or yellow shirt he is going to wear to ECU's first home football game).  Tomorrow around 10:50am twenty three years ago I was born!  *TEAR*  However, the questions you get asked on your birthday is "how old are you?" and "what do you want for your birthday?".....Well since y'all asked....I will e 23 years old and I would like for you to donate either by praying or giving money to an organization I have grown to LOVE.

Sweet Sleep is a faith-based nonprofit organization which exists to share God’s love by providing beds to the world’s orphaned and abandoned children. According to UNICEF, there are more that 210 million orphans worldwide. Today, 5,760 more children will become orphans.Orphaned and abandoned children around the world suffer from lack of sufficient or healthy places to sleep. These children often sleep on old, broken and soiled beds or have no beds at all – forcing them to sleep on paper-thin mats or cold, hard floors, making them susceptible to crawling, biting insects and disease. In these conditions, it is nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep and the effects are staggering:

■1 in 5 of all childhood deaths is caused from malaria. 90% of these children are in Africa alone.

■A sagging or misshapen mattress may add tension to a child’s joints because their bodies rest on the mattress for hours at a time. Even if a child sleeps well on a bad mattress, these injuries to their bodies only make them weaker.

■Old mattresses or scraps of foam are breeding grounds for bed bugs and allergens that contribute to startling increases in respiratory diseases, including asthma as well as rhinitis, eczema and bed bug bites.

■When children continuously do not get enough sleep it affects their health, makes them tired during the day, hinders their ability to do well at school and leaves them more prone to disease.

Thanks EVERYONE,

Now what is this game called?

Whew!! This weekend has been SUPER busy, but EXTREMELY fun!!!  Yesterday my family (Cinni-Mini, Will.i.am, Nonnie, Papa, Grandma Jackie, and Granddaddy Thomas) and a friend of mine's family had a pig pickin' for my class in law school.  It was a huge success and those people ate the best bbq they will every eat...guaranteed!!  The pig pickin' was fun no doubt, but the grandparents were ever better!

So, two things a college student or law student cannot pass up is free food and free alcohol.  (*Just a side note the Warren/McLamb crowd did not drink, I mean we're baptist right?)  Anyways, there was drinking at our pig pickin, but a game the got Nonnie's attention was beer pong.  Here's the conversation that was overheard....

Nonnie: Now what is this game?
Sally (my friends mom):  I think it has to do something with throwing a ping pong ball into the cup.
Nonnie:  And then what happens?
Sally:  Omm....they drink the beer I believe....

Why this is funny? Mrs. Sally knew the rules to beer pong, but being stuck in an awkward situation with Nonnie intergating her about beer pong made her give the edited, vague version.  I don't know why Nonnie didn't just ask Will.i.am, I mean he invented the game (I'M KIDDING...kinda).

So if anyone is looking for a beer pong partner Nonnie now knows how to play!!!

Granddaddy's reaction to where I live and my apartment:

MAW: Granddaddy how do you like my apartment?
GRAND: You live in town..
MAW:  Do you like the inside of my apartment?
GRAND:  If you like living by yourself it's nice, but I don't like living by myself

He wasn't to impressed with my big city livin'.....He's a country boy!!

I loved having my grandparents come visit and my parents stay the weekend with me!

I want something fattening!!

A lot of you are probaly wondering about the title.  There is a WHOLE story behind it.  So, over the summer I worked out a LITTLE, not as much as I usually do.  Now that I am back at school I am able to go to the gym everyday.  Well the boy and I were eating supper tonight and I was doing really well, I had vegetables and fruit on my plate.  When I was finished with that I was not quite full yet, so I said, "I want something good, something fattening" BIGGEST MISTAKE TO SAY THAT TO THE BOY! I had to hear this whole long spill about how I just came from the gym and how I needed to eat healthy and quit complaining that I am fat if I am not going to eat healthy.  UGHH!!! I said, "I just need it, so just leave me alone." & then I walked HAPPILY over to get a piece of pizza :) Boys do not understand the body of a woman!
Also, now that I am back at school everything is in FULL FORCE!!! I have an 8AM class, and for everyone who knows me knows that I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON.  You can imagine what kind of mood I was in, I was dragging and barely staying awake in class.  After class I had it planned out.  I had all of this work to do and I did not have time to take a nap, so I was going to MAKE myself drink a cup of coffee so I could stay awake and get my work done.  Let me make something clear: I DO NOT DRINK COFFEE, I HATE COFFEE!! YUCK! After a friend had told me what to go get a Starbucks I was quite uncertain about this experience.  I walked into Starbucks and I ordered my coffee and I was surprised that when I tried it IT WAS GOOD! Now, I love it and I cannot wait to go get some tomorrow morning.  Although, it did not keep me awake because I came home and took a nap.  The coffee was still good!!
I hope everyone is enjoying their first week back at school!! :) Miss y'all!

The World According to a 5 year old

A week before I moved back to school I had to run a few errands in Fayetteville (which is the largest "city" that is any where close to where we live).  So I called my cousin Misty and asked if any of her children wanted to ride with me, she came back on the line and said they all three wanted to go.  Here I was with an 10 year old, Dawson, a 5 year old, Jenna, and a 3 year old, Molly heading to Fayetteville.  Of course immediately Jenna had to know where we were going, how long it was going to take us to get there, and where we were going after our first stop...oh and of course if we could go see Moxie after we got back home!  I told them we were going to Pet-Smart and then to Coldstone to get ice cream.  Pet-Smart was renamed "Pets Mark" by Jenna on our journey, but my favorite moment was when we were stopped at the first stoplight in Fayetteville and Jenna asked "Meredith, is this traffic?"....in our small town "traffic" is getting stuck behind a tractor.  On my way to school today I hit every stop light and there was so much "traffic", which made me think of Jenna!  If she thought Fayetteville had traffic she needs to come visit me!!

Since we are on the topic of Jenna another topic that came up is where I go to school.  Her brother Dawson is in 5th grade, so he goes to elementary school.  Jenna has her first day of kindergarten tomorrow.  Here is our conversation about where I go to school.

JENNA: Meredith, Do you go to Dawson's School? (Remeber I am 22)
MAW: No, Do you remember when you went to that water park? (Wet N' Wild)
JENNA: Yea
MAW: My school is near that water park.
JENNA: Why do you go to school so far away?

....Jenna, I can't tell you how many times I have asked myself that since I have moved back to school!!  It is so cute when I talk to my little cousin about the concept of college!

We want to say GOOD LUCK to Ayden, Jenna, Leah Ashley, Casey, and Jane with their FIRST day of Kindergarten!!  Good Luck to Morgan with your first day of HIGH SCHOOL!  Devin (since I know he reads our blog EVERYDAY...not), Ryan, Kate,  and Joshua with their return to high school!!  Good Luck to Sarah with her first day back to Middle School!  Dawson & Katie Good luck in 5th GRADE (y'all are the "upper class") Good Luck to Eli my sweet sweet nephew---girls watch out!  Good Luck to Molly with her first day at Mrs. Pat's!  Good Luck to Eva-Kate--don't let the grandparents spoil you to much!!

These are some of the girls!!

Good Luck to Mrs. Kathy, Larinda, and Misty since it's the first day the kids come back!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow! We love and MISS YOU!

Just Call Me Tour Guide Barbie....of ECU!

So, I am back at school and trying to get my room and everything situated.  UGHH!! I had to dig myself out of all the piles and boxes that are stacked in my room.  I have no idea where all of this stuff came from.  SERIOUSLY! I had to run errands today.....and I think I got stopped 5 times to explain where a building was or how to get to some place.  I was about to the point of saying that I was a freshman too, so they would quit asking.  As you know, I could not have done that because I am a nice person.  So after the hectic morning of running around campus and getting things together I HAD to get a Dt. Mt. Dew and chocolate.  Ok, I must confess to something.  I have an addiction to Dt. Mt. Dew, and I blame my parents.  They always have Dt. Mt. Dew at their house and now I only have Dt. Mt. Dew at mine.  I could not function without it.  That might be a little extreme, but you get the point.  After I had a Dt. Mt. Dew and chocolate I was all set.  I am still trying to get things organized and placed in my room.  I can FINALLY see the top of my desk, so I deserved a break!! When my parents and I came up on Saturday it was HOT and of course my daddy had to go meet the ECU Football players.  That was fun but I was sad to see them go.  I too, like MAW, was excited to see my friends and hang out with them, but this is not home.  Although, I do have a lot that keeps me busy I do miss home and MAW and the family.
I went to the pool with my friend yesterday and I was talking about something and I said "ruined" and she was like "what" so I repeated myself and said "ruined" and she still did not understand.  I said "LIKE SOMETHING IS MESSED UP" she said, "ohhh ruined"  I was like...."that's what I said"  Apparently, I ran the syllables alltogether and sounded like "rooooooned" So, at that point I realized I was not in my small hometown anymore.  Yesterday I had to run to Wal-Mart and I live 6 miles from Wal-Mart and it took me 30 MINUTES to get to Wal-Mart because of the traffic!!!! Now I know that the city would not be the life for me because I cannot handle the traffic.  I was thinking that I need to get a truck so I could just go up on the sidewalk and pass everyone.  When I share my ideas with my friends they just laugh and are amazed because they think I live in another whole world....in the middle of nowhere.  Well, I guess I need to go unpack somemore.  We have Open House at the elementary school I am interning at tonight and I cannot wait to meet my 2nd graders. :)

We're Not in Kansas anymore....

A follow up to last nights flood, Hernandez pulled up a corner of my carpet and stuck a fan to where it blows under the carpet and I have to keep that on for three days.  Moxie thinks she has a new toy and I have something to block out my neighbors loud music!

So raise your hand if you do the same thing:  When a disaster hits the first person you call is your MOM!  When I was in college babysitting the house alarm went off and before I even called 911 I called my mom first even though she was 2 hours away.  Last night I did call maintenance first, but then I called my Mom even though she was 3 hours away!  Momma's can always make it better no matter how far away they are.

I have only been in the city for a day now and I have quickly realized that I am no longer in the country.  Yesterday my friend and I went to Wal-Mart and (1) I was going to leave without locking my door and (2) I did not see anyone I knew at Wal-Mart.  Then another friend told me to come outside and say hello and I walked outside barefoot---I never wore shoes at home, but when I realized I was standing in a gross parking lot barefoot I was grossed out!!  It might take a little adjusting to, but hopefully I'll remember to wear shoes to my first day of class tomorrow!!

Wish me luck,
Sissy Ducks

Welcome Back

I realize that I have already blogged today, but I have found the need for a second entry!

It's my first night back in this sweet sweet town that I loathe.  I decided that I would call it an early night so Moxie and I snuggled up in bed and checked for bed bugs and all was right in the world.

However, then Moxie decided that it was play time, so she finally annoyed me enough that I got up to see what she was doing.  Since I was up I decided I should use the restroom.  On my short walk to the bathroom I stepped in something wet....soaking wet.  I was like what in the world...I thought my AC was leaking, maybe a little condensation.  Then I took another step onto the hardwood floor and my foot was suddenly submerged in an INCH of water!! (Side note: I live beside a water tower and have a fear of it springin' a leak and my apartment being take away like Noah in the Ark.)  I turned on the lights and my kitchen and bathroom was SUBMERGED under an INCH of water.....instead of the water tower springin' a leak my toilet had sprung a leak!!

I immediately call the emergency maintaince people and a guy with a foreign accent answers....I know this is going to be BAD NEWS.  Here I am with a southern accent as thick as it gets and I'm having to explain water "wuder" in my kitchen from my toilet.  Long story short something must have been lost in translation because all the guy showed up with was a plundger.  So the man with the foreign accent gives my number to a carpet cleaning man....who is hispanic.  I could not understand one word he said except he would come pick up the fan in three days.  It's late and there has already been to much going on for me tonight!

Goodnight,
MAW

"Always in my heart..."

KLW and I parted ways this morning!  It was bittersweet because it's KLW last year in college and I was excited to see all of my friends, but it also meant that KLW and I would be 3 hours apart.  Moxie seems to like her new apartment.  She has an awful great view and has been trying to catch bugs and birds through the window.  I think she misses Alex, so I'm still debating whether or not she needs a little sister!!

My friend Savannah made a list of all of the memorable things that happened during our first year of law school, so I decided to make a list of memorable things that happened over the summer.....
  • CentriKid
  • Shuckin' corn
  • "Don't be a Tumbleweed"
  • Rabid Racoon's at Ridgecrest
  • Finding Moxie in my dad's motor
  • Weight Watchers
  • Friendship bracelets/sassy bands
  • KLW flippin' off the lawnmower
  • 6am walks with Tonya
  • "Purdy" "Sweetheart" "Merevis"
  • Pageants with Sarah
  • Coldstones and "Pets-mark" with Dawson, Jenna, and Molly
  • Saddle Ridge Ranch
  • OMC
  • Relay for Life---ALL NIGHT CLUB
  • Dr. Rex (Ask Dawson)
  • Blue Room & the Pink Room
  • Catching pigs
...there are probably so many more memories!  I had an amazing summer spending time with my family!  And like KLW said in her letter she wrote me 5 years ago...although we aren't close by "you'll always be in my heart".

We LOVE you ALL!!

A Tale of Two Cities

KLW and I go back to school tomorrow.  However our schools are 3 hrs apart. KLW and I went to the same undergrad, but now I am in law school.  There is only one thing we can say about us moving away to college...You can take the girl outta the country, but you can't take the country outta the girl!!  Our thick country accents provide others with much entertainment!  KLW and I will continue to blog, but instead of being about our life in the country it will be about bringing the country to the city!

Since we are leaving home sweet home tomorrow Cinni-Mini got off work early yesterday and took us school shopping!  However, she made the mistake of letting KLW drive home!  The conversation between KLW and Cinni-Mini went like this...and was repeated and repeated.

Cinni-Mini:  KLW you need to stop swerving.
KLW: I'm not swerving.
Cinni-Mini: Well the car sure feels like it's swerving. Do you drive like this all the time.  OMG my car is not use to going 70 mph..(Mom looks at the speedometer) YOU'RE GOING 80!! KLW pull over right now!!.
KLW: Laughing hysterically
MAW: *praying* (hard)
Cinni-Mini: Let me hold your ice cream since you are full
KLW: I'm not full.
Cinni-Mini: Well I'm full or I could just be nauseous from the way you are driving.
KLW: Laughing hysterically.

We had a great time, but I seriously doubt my mom ever let's KLW drive again!  I'm sure Cinni-Mini is going to miss us....the house will be much quieter, less messy, her shows will not be deleted on TIVO, the TIVO will not be full of our shows, no one will harass her as soon as she walks in the door....the house will be sooo boring without us!

We are going to miss our family so much!  We love you all & can't wait to see you soon!!

10 Things Everyone Should Know about KLW...

It's finally my turn to let everyone know what I know about KLW!  I was nervous about what she was going to put in her "10 Things about MAW" but I will have to admit that she was nice and she ever chose a good picture.  KLW and I are only 18 months apart so I have known her for a looonnng time so here are 10 things that I want the world to know about KLW.

  1. When she was younger she would not wear jeans, khaki pants, or anything that "itched"...so she would only wear cotton pants or her infamous velor outfit with tennis shoes!
  2. When KLW was in 6th grade and I was in 8th grade she cried on the first day of school and I was a good big sister and made sure she went to the right classroom!
  3. Although KLW is extremely stubborn and has a "tough" girl attitude she is very compassionate and cries more than I do.
  4. KLW cannot do a cartwheel---she made me lose a cartwheel competition because she told the judges we were going as a team.
  5. My daddy use to pick on KLW and tell her that Goofy was a boyfriend.
  6. When she was little she called Kit-Kats "achy-breaky's"...after the Billy Ray Cyrus song
  7. When we were little and suppose to be taking a nap KLW flipped off the bed backwards by accident and thought I had pushed her so she went and told our parents I had broke her arm.
  8. KLW is a very literally person---I once told her I was going to kill her and she was terrified for at least two days that I was actually going to kill her.
  9. She is still scared that Santa Clause is going to steal her when he visits on Christmas Eve.
  10. KLW loves I love Lucy because her 6th grade math teacher, Mrs. Allen, said she reminded her of Lucy.
Since KLW gave you a *BONUS* I'll give you a bonus....KLW told me that at her funeral I am suppose to get in front of everyone and announce..."The day she died was the day she stopped eating."  The girl loves to eat!

Although I may be "bossy" it is the big sister in me and I just want the best for my little sissy duck!  KLW has made me mad, nervous, scared, happy, excited, and many more emotions it has been worth it because I have the best sister in the world!

Love you Sissy,
MAW

Want to know 10 things about MAW????

Since we have let y'all know 10 things about our mom and dad, we thought it would be fair if you got to know 10 things about us as well.  Also, we decided to let each other write the 10 things about each other, so they would be a lot more funny and truthful :)  So......I get to write 10 things you need to know about MAW :)

The 10 MOST IMPORTANT things to know about MAW:

1. When we were little I thought MAW was the best drawer.  I was struggling to draw a stick figure and MAW drew the actual body of her person!!!

2. When we were younger MAW and I would sleep together because I was scared to sleep by myself.  So, after I begged her to let me sleep with her she would put a piece of tape down the middle of the bed and tell me that I had to stay on my side of the bed.

3. MAW made a rule that if I slept with her because I was scared I had to scratch her back for 5 minutes.

4. She IS NOT stingy with her money.

5. MAW never criticizes people after the time she called me stupid and made me cry.

6. You can tell she is the older sister, because she is BOSSY and always bosses me around...even though I am 21!!!

7. She always use to blame Roadey (my cat) for her allergies acting up.  Then she got her own cat (Moxie) and Moxie doesn't bother her allergies, and after she reads this she is going to say that it is because Roadey is not clean....(which he is.)

8. She is a PICKY eater.

9. You always know what MAW is thinking just by looking at her facial expressions.

10.  When our mom is gone MAW thinks she is the one in charge because she always tries to watch over me and protect me. (She still does this, and we are in our 20's.)

BONUS (Y'all get a bonus because I just know so much about MAW) :)

11. More than likely if we are in the same room we are going to find something to laugh about.

She is a pretty good sister :) Especially when she is not trying to be the one in charge or be bossy.  :) Love you Sissy Duck :)  I guess it doesn't matter how different we are from each other, it just matters that we get along so well and that she is my best friend.  :)

10 Things Everyone Should Know about Will.i.am

KLW and I recently found out that our daddy has yet to read our blog.  So we decided since he doesn't read our blog he will not know about this post! (It'll be our little secret)  But I'm sure Cinni-Mini will spill the beans....

10 Things Everyone Should Know about Will.i.am
  1. Alex (our dog) is the first person/animal daddy talks to when he gets home from work and the only one he says "bye" to when he leaves for work.
  2. Our daddy monograms his dress shirts on the cuff.
  3. He has a jar full of change and if you only take out dimes he does not notice.
  4. He will notice if you take out quarters.
  5. When KLW and I still lived at home he would ask us if he matched before going to work...and he usually didn't.
  6. On Pirate football game days his car looks like a pirate ship on wheels with all the magnets, flags, stickers on his truck.
  7. He loves the movie Christmas Vacation and we quote the movie often and KLW and momma have no clue what we are talking about.
  8. He has at least two pair of reading glasses on him at any given time.
  9. If it were up to our daddy our house would be purple and gold throughout the whole inside.....right now his Pirate Pride is contained in one room.
  10. Growing up all our daddy had to do was give us "the look" and we knew we better straighten up!!
Here's our "diddy"

We love you daddy and you better start reading our blog!!
Sissy Ducks

On a more serious note--KLW and I are praying that God will use us to witness to people who do not know him.  Please pray that his WILL will be done!

It's an Addiction really...

We went to town and stocked up on more string so we can make MORE "sassy bands".  Therefore nothing exciting has happened today because we haven't left the kitchen table.  KLW is getitng tired of making the bracelets, but I'm still going strong!!  So if you would like to support our addiction you can leave what colors you would like in a comment.  Here are some of our designs..

And we always give credit where credit is due.....We learned our techniques  from Holistergirl101

If you don't hear from us tomorrow, then we probably found a new design and it is taking us a little while to learn how to do it!

Back By Popular Demand....

Just kidding we haven't gone anywhere!!  But we are so excited that people are reading our blog and actually ENJOYING what they are reading.  We haven't had time to blog because Will.i.am and Cinni-Mini keep us pretty busy during the weekend.  So this blog will be a catch-up of what we have been doing over the past few days....and I promise we have had some adventures!!!

So Friday was just a typcial day other than our cousin "Miss LHS" FINALLY came to visit, but she usually only says about 5 words so nothing got to crazy.  But then came Saturday...We woke up and went to help with the Spanish Missions and made some new friends.  It was so funny to listen to the group of G.A.'s talk to the Hispanic children....it was like the slower  and louder they talked the children could understand them better (or so they thought)!  Then on our way home our dad (Will.i.am) called and said that a pig had gotten loose and we needed to go catch it....(please refer back to blog about MAW not running)  But KLW said we should go and at least see if we could see it....so we drove over there and sure enough WE FOUND IT and CAUGHT it!!!  That's when we formed the organization N.P.L.B (No Pig Left Behind).

I'm not one for making excuses unless it's about exercising or dieting, but the main reason we haven't blogged lately is because we have found a new hobby....making friendship bracelets!!!!  (So KLW just informed me that we are in our 20s and we should call our "friendship bracelets" something else, so we'll keep you posted on what we are going to call our string-creations-that-are-bracelets.) Our dad asked us why we kept making all these bracelets and we were like we don't know!  We are addicted!  It's the little things in life, right?  Well that it what we have been up to boiled down!  Tonight was the last night of VBS and it was bittersweet.  We're going to miss hanging out with out church homies, but it'll be nice to hang out with the family during our last week at home.

Have a great week,
Sissy Ducks

What I learned at Vacation Bible School...

Yesterday was the last night of VBS!  It has been a wondeful week and I have learned about God, missions around the world, some new songs, and a few other things. These "few other things" include:

  1. Silly Bandz are a good way to get little girls to sit still for about 5 minutes.
  2. According to a 3 year old girl, your "pannies" aren't "prudy" unless they have princesses on them.
  3. Duck Duck Goose is a dangerous game, especially when you are in your late 30's.
  4. Birthday Cake ice cream sandwiches are the best thing since sliced bread and may cause trouble if you eat the last one.
  5. If you are looking for Jesus, try the girls bathroom.
  6. 3 swings + 15 children = disaster
  7. KLW should not be put on drink duty, ever....
  8. Candy is the way to any child's heart.
  9. If you say "potty" in a group of 3 year olds they all suddenly have to potty.
  10. Shoes are pointless to every pre-schooler.
All kidding aside, VBS was great and if you would like to get a little taste of what we learned this week grab your bible and read James 1: 5.  God is GREAT, all the time!!

Much love,
Sissy Ducks

Ain't She Sweet......

At VBS there is a missions offering and there is a competition between the girls and the boys.  Whoever raises the most money for missions get to pie someone in the face.  So, In order to make sure the girls win KLW and I searched every nook and cranny of our house looking for change.  We even took a few coins from our daddy's money jar...how could he get mad it's for missions!!  During our expendition I found this little treasure...it's a letter KLW wrote when I was moving away to college...

MAW,
Where do I start? It seems like yesterday we were going on Nature Walks and climbing dirt piles w/ Devin and Ryan.  I will never forget the many times we had to rewind the Lion King to laugh our heads off @ Mufaso ooo say it again Mufaso ooo I hear that name and I shiver haha! Who am I going to go lay in bed w/ when I hear girls outside of my window or hear music coming from the attic? I know I'm going to hate waking up in the morning by myself and go to school and driving by myself.  Our sister list of quotes will now be short.  Now, I'm going to have to show mom and dad my progress report by myself and back myself up on things.  I'll have to call you and get you to do it over the phone. =) I know I can still call you and ask advice so I'm not to worried about that I'm ever going to miss our crazy fights.  I'm gonna miss your clothes.  I'm  gonna be lost w/out the critism. ( I never critized her so I don't know what she is talking about!!) It's gonna be hard knowing that your not across the hall anymore your more like an hour away.  Half of me will be leaving.  It's really gonna be hard walking by your room and it be empty.  You'll have to come have and stay in it a lot.  I know we have to grow up sometime but I wish we could stay little all the time! Even though your not going to be across the hallway you'll be in my heart and I will think about you all the time.  If you ever get lonely just come on home we'll be here I PROMISE! I wish you the best of luck in college! You'll do great! Your not only my sister but my best friend!

I love you!!
KLW

There are tear marks on the paper...so I must have gotten all emotional when I read it the first time!  However, today it has provided me with a reminder that although KLW can get on my nerves all the time, she can be sweet!

Going Old School

When I said that I go on a morning WALK every day I was not using the term "walk" lightly.  I do not run. I can not run.  I look silly when I run. However, my Granddaddy had warned my cousin and I about a bull that was in the cow pasture and to be careful as we walked by.  Today my cousin and I were chit chatting so hard we did not realize the bull was at the fence...an electric fence!  We quickly noticed the bull when it hit the water trough and head butted another cow!!  We came the closest to running than we ever have!!

Then when I got home my kitten was acting a fool!....so I went back to sleep :)

And since nothing else exciting is happening out here in the country I figured I would post some old school pictures of me and KLW!  These two are my absolute favorite...

Aren't we so cute?!  Cinni-Mini had some great taste when she picked out that couch!

We look so innocent! hahahaha...this picture just cracks me up!

I hope these provided you with a little laugh!

Happy Monday,
Sissy Ducks

The Girl with the Curls was my favorite!  I made sure it matched her outfit!!
If you aren't looking for a sweet up-do I can also do highlights.....

The "Punk Next Door" wanted Rockstar highlights!!

She's got this place on lock-down...

Livin in the counrty has its perks....free membership to the GYM!  However my gym is a dirt road, but the scenery is GREAT!  We have pig houses, cows, and turkey house on our walking path.  Everyone in our family knows that my cousin and I walk every morning.  Yesterday my Grandma Jackie called and our conversation went like this....

GRANDMA: Did y'all go walking this morning?
ME: No it was storming
GRANDMA: When we went to check the turkeys we were looking for tire tracks and thought we saw some.
ME:  It might have been someone going to the pig houses
GRANDMA:  Probably, because we got out to look for footprints and didn't see any.

My Grandma keeps our little community on lock-down and if you are not where you are suppose to be she will know and will find out why!!

Love you Grandma!!

Turning this town upside down country style

OK!! I am blogging from my trip, so this will be short....maybe. So I was getting started and asked the lover what my title should be...here are the ideas! Either visiting (which I said was boring) and I suggested on the road again and the lover said "like you travel a lot" sooo that killed that title. So I made my title realistic!! I am visiting the city and boy have I turned this place upside down. Everything is so different in the city compared to back home. An example would be when we were cutting watermelon up. I said you want me to take that outside and throw it in the woods? Of course I got a weird look. I was like "what?" I was told that in the city they don't throw stuff out in he woods, they put it in the trash. I said well...we don't throw it in the woods no way, we toss it in the field. I wasn't cut out for the city. Also, I love visiting the city though. It is so much fun and I look like a kid in a toy store when we got out. I am looking at everything. I said man I cannot believe how close the houses are here. I said, that would be perfect back home cause we could just open the window and holler something. Especially if we needed something we could just toss it to the neighbor instead of walking a yard to go get it. I got some stares on that comment too. Apparently they don't talk to neighbors in the city. One thing though is that I am eating gooooood!!! The lovers family is half Italian so they know how to cook!!! Shaw!!! I am being forced to eat, I promise!! I'm outta here. Ttyl!! P.S. The lover wanted me to read this blog to him and I told the title, and I got laughed at and a weird look. I just cannot win.

Then there were three

KLW and I are so close in age I was never able to enjoy the benefits of a "younger" sibling. My parents deprieved me of 1.) enjoying being an only child--I don't even remember being an only child 2.) having a much younger sibling with cool toys and 3.) having a "younger" sibling so I could have an excuse to act like a kid and people not look at me like I'm crazy!!

I had given up all hope of another sibling, but in 2004 my prayers were answered!!  I not only got another sibling, I got another SISTER!!  I realize some of y'all are scratching you head, wondering if we have been hiding a child in our house for 6 years! Before y'all call DHS, I'm talking about the punk next door!!!  Just in case some of y'all haven't put everything together and are now thinking my parents had a kid, but made it live next door....this sister isn't actually "blood" related, but she is our little sister!

So when I went over to the punk's house for the first time I was like a kid in a candy store! She had POLLY POCKETS, BARBIE'S, and cool VIDEO GAMES!!  Every afternoon I would go over to the punk's house and play with Polly Pockets, Barbie's and no one would think I was weird (well I don't think they did).  Then one Christmas we hit a gold mine!  Santa Clause brought the punk a TRAMPOLINE!!! We never had a trampoline....KLW and I were like "sweet we got a Trampoline"....then our mom reminded us that it wasn't our trampoline and to get off and let the punk jump!

Besides letting us play with her toys and maybe even not share her toys the punk has provided us with sooo much laughter!  We love her so much and can't wait to see what Santa bring her this year!!!

Introducing......."The Punk Next Door"

Just a few housekeeping notes....
  1. Do y'all like the new design?!?
  2. Cinni-Mini wasn't mad with her "10 Things" she actually thought they were funny
  3. KLW is still out of town....and I'm bored
Peace out girl scouts,

Still thinking about that pizza...........

First of all, let me change a few details that MAW wrote.  I am staying at home for 3 weeks and it is so much fun.  I love being around my family...well just about all the time.  I think with MAW and myself being at home, my parents lives have changed DRAMATICALLY!!! You can tell they are use to them two only being here.  I love being loud and getting them all in a tizzy.  I enjoy being home any chance I get.  Usually MAW does get up and go walking with one of our cousins every morning, I do not....I would much rather sleep in.  This morning Alex, our dog, had different plans for me.  Usually he will sleep in and we will get up when we decide to.  Well, this morning he woke me up at 7AM wanting to go outside.  Of course, I got up and took him out.  I figured I would just get right back to bed and go back to sleep...........DIDN'T HAPPEN!! I did go back and lye down but I could not go back to sleep.  Later MAW came home and any hope of me going back to sleep was out the window.  Once she releases Moxie from the room, it is time to get up.  Moxie usually comes and jumps on my bed and wants to play with Alex.

When I heard MAW coming up the steps I was going to play a trick on her.  I was going to yell out something so random and she would be like..."what"  I did exactly that.  (that is what she is talking about in her post) So, I yelled out "Aloha Senor" and pretended to be asleep.  MAW walked into my room and I could not hold my laughing in...so I busted out laughing.  My plan had failed. Yes, she was pretty surprised that I was up at 7AM!! No, I am not a morning person, I would much rather stay up late and sleep in.  At night I usually just stay up reading until 2AM.  This is why MAW's morning has been hectic today.  Waking up at 7AM makes me crazy!!! No wonder I do not wake up at 7AM every morning.  I am just too silly...probaly so sleepy I have no idea what I am doing or saying.

I absolutely cannot wait until my mom gets home and reads this blog.  She is going to laugh! I guess you just have to know our mom just to know how silly she is.  SHE IS SILLY!! She and I together is SILLY times 2! We always say silly stuff just to see what MAW's expression is going to be, and then we just laugh!  If I had to pick what my favorite thing was to do at home, it would be sitting on the couch with my mom and my sisiter acting crazy and just laughing.  As you can tell I love to laugh!!! I am so thankful that MAW, my mom, amd me are so close.  They are like my best friends. Even though I am a daddy's girl and us girls do clash a little bit, at the end of the day we are still best friends..   Okay...so now onto some cute stuff.  I want to introduce the animals!!!

This is Alex.  He loves sleeping and eating treats!! Occasionaly he will play with Moxie, other times he is stretched out in the recliner with our dad, or wherever my dad is.  Alex also thinks he is a "big" dog.  He likes to chase dogs that are almost twice his size.  We haven't told him yet that those dogs can eat him as a snack.

This is Roadey!!! My baby! He is an outside cat and LOVES to eat!!! My dad rescued him when he was a tiny baby.  My dad found him on the side of the road, that is how his name became Roadey (original right?) So, I am completely in love with Roadey.  He loves head scratches and treats.  Occasionally I let him come inside :)

This is our latest addition to the family.  My dad also rescued her.  She is Roadey's kitten but when he was babysitting her, she got stuck in the transmission of my dad's truck.  My dad got her out and ever since then we have kept her in the house.  As you can tell she is a DIVA!! She absolutely loves Alex.  The feeling is not returned though.  She can be snuggley when she is sleepy and that is it.  Other times, she wants to play or be left alone to nap.  I just laugh watching her play.

I am going out of town today, so MAW will be doing the blogging until the weekend, and then I will be back. :)

See y'all later! :)
As far as that pizza....MAW broke down and went and got it!!
